Road Closure Notice: Third Street Close for Water Improvement Construction

Ishpeming, MI — beginning tomorrow, construction crews will commence pavement stripping on 3rd Street, starting near the old Oasis gas station, as part of the city’s ongoing Water Improvement Project.
To ensure the safety of both residents and workers, 3rd Street will be closed to through traffic during construction. Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency services.
We urge all drivers to use Lakeshore Drive as an alternate route to avoid traffic delays and congestion in the construction zone.
The City of Ishpeming appreciates your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our water infrastructure throughout the summer. These upgrades are critical to ensuring reliable service and long-term community benefit.
