The City of Ishpeming is seeking applications for a full time City Treasurer.  Salary is commensurate with experience plus a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, MERS Defined Contribution pension plan, and a Post-Employment Health Plan.  Treasurer is responsible for the custody of City funds, revenue collection, and providing fiduciary and accounting services as required by the City Charter.  Other duties include supervising operations of the Finance Office, preparing payroll, reviewing and implementing policies, and assisting with preparation of the City Budget.

The City of Ishpeming is accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator -Water/Sewer positions in the Department of Public Works.  Work includes operation of heavy and light equipment, assists with construction/maintenance of various City utility systems, and performs all types of repairs and construction, when required, on sewer, water, and storm sewer mains and appurtenances.  A valid State of Michigan driver’s license with a CDL endorsement, or ability to obtain a CDL within 45 days of hire, and an excellent driving record is required. The starting wage is $23.01 per hour and includes a benefit package.

The City of Ishpeming is seeking college students interested in working part time at the Ishpeming Cemetery and Parks.  The hours are primarily 7:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, however, hours may vary and could include some weekend hours. Wage is $12.00/hour.
