DPW  MECHANIC

MECHANIC Position with the City of Ishpeming.  The City of Ishpeming is accepting applications for a Mechanic in the Department of Public Works.  Work is assigned and supervised by the Chief Mechanic and includes repair and maintenance of light, heavy, automotive, and special equipment.  Three years of experience as an automotive and equipment mechanic and high school graduate; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.  A valid State of Michigan driver’s license with a CDL endorsement, or ability to obtain a CDL within 45 days of hire and an excellent driving record.  Starting hourly wage of $21.20 and includes benefits.  Click here for the City of Ishpeming Application form.  Forms may also be obtained at the office of the City Manager at City Hall or the Department of Public Works.

Part-Time Tube Slide Workers

The City of Ishpeming is seeking college students interested in working part time at the Ishpeming tube slide.  The hours are primarily weekends during regular operations from 11:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. or for private rentals which take place Monday through Sunday in the evening.  Hours are variable.  To apply please complete a City of Ishpeming application form (click here).  Complete applications should be returned to City Hall at 100 E.
