CODE ENFORCEMENT/ASSISTANT RENTAL INSPECTOR
The City of Ishpeming is seeking a self-motivated and conscientious individual to serve as Code Enforcement/Assistant Rental Inspector. This position is responsible for the enforcement of Code Violations and to assist the Rental Inspector in the inspection of residential rental dwelling units in the City of Ishpeming. Specific Ordinances to enforce are #2-700, #4-500, and #7-100. Also assisting the Rental Inspector with enforcement of its ordinance #7-400 and #7-500, within the City. The position is part-time with approximately 15 hours per week. The starting pay is $15.00 per hour.
Preferred experience with enforcement of civil and misdemeanor ordinances, building codes, and building/construction. The position works under the direction of the Chief of Police.
