Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library
The Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library is located at 317 N. Main Street, on the corner of Main and Barnum Streets. The library has a rich history of providing library services to the community dating back to the 1870s. Our current building located in downtown Ishpeming was built in 1904 with funding from Andrew Carnegie.
Local author John Voelker was a life-long ICPL patron and it was because of his book, “Anatomy of a Murder” that the Ishpeming Library was involved in the film adaptation of the same name starring Jimmy Stewart.
