The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Ishpeming, Michigan which is the birthplace of organized skiing. The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm year-round. Stop in and see the displays which showcase the history of skiing in the United States.
The Hall of Fame holds their annual Snowsports History Celebration at a different resort in the United States each spring. The highlight of this celebration is the Induction ceremony which honors the new class of inductees to the Hall. There are also parties, skiing, and meetings that take place doing the festivities. Come and rub elbows with the Who’s Who of the skiing world. The concluding ceremonies of the Induction take place in the fall at the museum.
Are You Ready for the Coming Ski Season
Each year the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame sells the Ski Midwest Gold Card. These cards are good at participating ski areas across the Midwest including areas in Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. We have also had ski areas from South Dakota, Indiana and Missouri participate. For a list of areas that will be included each year please contact the Hall of Fame. Only 75 cards are issued each year and you must be a Patron ($100) to take advantage of this awesome perk!
