Great Ishpeming Negaunee Chamber of Commerce Muddy Trail Scavenger Hunt at Al Quaal

April 10 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

GINCC Muddy Trail Scavenger Hunt 2021 EVENT

With the West End Winter Wonderland being abruptly cancelled due to weather, the GINCC is planning a make-up event on April 10 at Al Quaal Recreation Area from 1-4pm.

The Muddy Trail Scavenger Hunt will take place rain or shine, even if it snows, but we’re crossing our fingers for a sunny afternoon.

The event will be a family orientated adventure where individuals or families will search for clues to complete a course. We’ll be offering two courses: Little Adventure Course for kids and a Big Adventure Course for those looking for a good hike.

When participants check in, they will be given their first clue. To space people out on the course the clues will be handed out in a rotating manner so no two groups are heading out in the same direction at the same time.

Turn in the number and pick up one of many prizes on site. Prizes have been donated by GINCC business and board members. We are working to get enough prizes so everyone can go home with something.

The event will focus on being a “Fun”rasier more than a fundraiser. Pre-registration is required and is $5 per person or $10 a family. For more information go to our website www.gincc.org or Facebook page.

To follow COVID mitigation protocol all participants will need to do a quick wellness check onsite before starting the adventure. We’ll be following physical distancing guidelines and the use of face coverings will be required. To respect the safety of volunteers and fellow participants we ask that people not attend who are having symptoms of COVID or are not feeling well.

Our events are sponsored by the GINCC Rock Stars: Northern Michigan University, TruNorth Federal Credit Union, Bell Auxiliary, Upper Peninsula Power Company, Cleveland-Cliffs and Eagle Mine.
