PART-TIME LIGHT MAINTENANCE/CUSTODIAN

The City of Ishpeming is taking applications for a part-time Light Maintenance/Custodian position — 20 hours per week. This position is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of the City of Ishpeming Facilities, excluding the Police & Fire Departments.  This position will also perform maintenance and cleaning duties inside and outside along with seasonal tasks including snow removal and landscaping.  The starting wage is $20.00/hour.

PART-TIME RENTAL/CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

The City of Ishpeming is seeking a self-motivated individual to serve as Rental/Code Enforcement Officer.  This position performs a variety of routine and complex work in the interpretation and enforcement of Ordinance 7-500 Rental Inspections including inspections, assisting with cases being prepared for trail/hearings; compiling information and exhibits; and assists with code enforcement issues/matters.  The position is part-time at approximately 36 hours per week but can be increased or decreased by the employer based on workload.

Prefer experience with enforcement of civil infractions and misdemeanors, building codes, and building/construction.  The position works under the direction of the Chief of Police.
