DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
The City of Ishpeming is accepting applications for the position of Department of Public Works Director, responsible for managing the Public Works Department, including streets, water, sewer, cemetery, parks, facilities, equipment, and public relations. The Director oversees 18 full-time and approximately 10 seasonal employees, serves as liaison to regional utility and wastewater authorities, provides staff support to the Cemetery Board and Parks and Recreation Commission, and works under the general direction of the City Manager. This is a union position with a salary range of 82,269 to 102,837 dollars.
Required qualifications include a minimum of six years of increasingly responsible experience in public works or commercial construction work, strong management and leadership skills, a Michigan Vehicle Operator License, and an S-2 Water Distribution License (or ability to attain within six months), a demonstrated work ethic, and a high level of integrity. Desirable qualifications include a four-year degree in civil engineering or a related field and previous experience working in municipal government. PART-TIME LIGHT MAINTENANCE/CUSTODIAN
The City of Ishpeming is taking applications for a part-time Light Maintenance/Custodian position — 20 hours per week. This position is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of the City of Ishpeming Facilities, excluding the Police & Fire Departments. This position will also perform maintenance and cleaning duties inside and outside along with seasonal tasks including snow removal and landscaping. The starting wage is $20.00/hour.

PART-TIME RENTAL INSPECTOR
The City of Ishpeming is seeking a self-motivated individual to serve as Rental Inspector. This position performs a variety of routine and complex work in the interpretation and enforcement of Ordinance 7-500 Rental Inspections including inspections, assisting with cases being prepared for trial/hearings; and compiling information and exhibits. The position is part-time at approximately 30 hours per week but can be increased or decreased by the employer based on workload.
Prefer experience with enforcement of civil infractions and misdemeanors, building codes, and building/construction. The position works under the direction of the Planning/Zoning Administrator.

PART-TIME TUBE SLIDE WORKERS
The City of Ishpeming is seeking applicants to work part time at the Ishpeming Tube Slide. The hours are primarily weekends during regular operations from 11:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. or for private rentals which take place Monday through Sunday in the evening. Hours are variable. Wage is $15.00/hour.
